About the services

These web services are being developed during autumn 2026 by Etex AB:

• www.tjaldjup.se provides a simple overview of ground frost conditions along roads. The service shows the current frost state and estimated frost depth, and indicates where measurements suggest that thawing is in progress. Basic frost forecasts are under development.
• www.vvai.se – Road Weather AI provides an overview of weather conditions along roads. The service is being developed progressively with additional functions for assessing road conditions, including AI-based analysis of images from weather-station cameras.

The aim is to demonstrate how AI can be used to develop useful services based on open data quickly and efficiently. The websites also illustrate the expertise and consultancy services offered by Etex AB.

Etex AB has extensive experience in technology and services connecting road, rail and IT.

We hope they will be widely used and contribute to public benefit.

The solutions are based on open data from the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and SMHI.
